Delete your Fishburg: Aquarium account
How to delete the account of the game Fishburg: Aquarium by Beydanur Dönmez, with or without the app, and what happens to your data.
At a glance
- App: Fishburg: Aquarium (iPhone, iPad and Android)
- Developer: Beydanur Dönmez (App Store seller name: BEYDANUR DONMEZ)
- In the app: Settings → About → Delete social account. Deletion is immediate.
- Without the app: email fishburg.sandbox@outlook.com with your player ID. We delete the account and answer you within 30 days.
Fishburg has no sign-up. When the game first starts with an internet connection, it creates an anonymous account by itself, with a random player ID (FB-XXXX-XXXX) and a generated display name. The account holds the backup copy of your game and, if you joined Friends, the friends data. It holds no real name, email address or phone number. The full details are in the Privacy Policy.
1. Delete the account in the app
- Open Fishburg and make sure the phone or tablet is online.
- Open Settings in the game and choose the About tab.
- Tap Delete social account and confirm with Delete.
The account and everything listed under What is deleted are removed from our server at once, and the game deletes the secret key it uses to sign back in from your device. Afterwards the game stays signed out and no new account is created. If you later open Friends and choose to join again, you get a brand-new account with a new player ID.
The steps are the same on iPhone, iPad and Android.
2. Delete the account without the app
If you no longer have the app or cannot open it, email fishburg.sandbox@outlook.com from any email address and write:
- that you want your Fishburg account deleted, and
- your player ID (FB-XXXX-XXXX). It is shown in the game on the Friends screen, and a friend of yours can also see it.
We delete the account, with everything listed below, and answer you within 30 days. The player ID is the only way we can find the account, because it holds no name or email address. Without the player ID we cannot tell which account is yours. We do not need, and will never ask for, a password or payment details.
3. What is deleted
From our server (Supabase, Frankfurt, Germany):
- the account itself, its random account ID and the player ID;
- the display name, level, app language, time zone and the date you accepted the Friends rules;
- friends and friend requests;
- likes and glass cleanings, the ones you gave and the ones you received;
- the players you blocked;
- the inbox;
- the copy of your tanks that your friends could see;
- the backup copy of your game (cloud save);
- push notification tokens and the record of notifications sent;
- the per-day counters (friend requests, likes, cleanings, reports, name changes, cloud save uploads and downloads);
- the recovery sign-in (the <account ID>@recovery.fishburg.invalid sign-in name and its hashed password).
On your device, the game deletes the secret key it uses to sign back in (from the iOS Keychain, or from the app's files on Android) when you delete the account in the app.
4. What is kept, and for how long
- Reports. A report that another player filed about you keeps your player ID and display name as plain text, without any link to your account, so that we can finish the safety review. A report that you filed loses its link to you. Every report is deleted 12 months after it was filed.
- Server request logs. Supabase keeps its request logs (which include IP addresses) for a limited time under its own rules. They are not part of the account.
- The game on your device. Your aquarium on the phone or tablet is not touched. It stays until you delete the app, but it can no longer be brought back after a reinstall or on a new device. A copy may also remain in your own device backups (iCloud, computer or Android backups) until those are replaced or expire.
- Emails you send us are kept only as long as we need to answer them, and at most two years.
5. Purchases
Deleting the account does not delete or cancel purchases. They are held by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), not by us, and are kept under their own policies. Remove Ads can still be restored with Settings → General → Restore Purchases. Gems and coins you bought are part of your game: they stay in the game on your device, but no longer have a backup copy on our server.
Data that Google collects for ads, and that Apple or Google keep for purchases or Game Center, is not stored by us. The Privacy Policy explains how to manage it.
