Snugdoku · Effective October 28, 2026
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how the Snugdoku mobile game ("the app") and its developer, Beydanur Dönmez ("we", "us"), handle information. The app has no account system, no sign-up and no servers of our own, and we do not collect any personal data. It shows ads through Google AdMob and the advertising partners listed under "Advertising", and uses Google's consent service. On iPhone and iPad it uses Apple's purchase (App Store) and Game Center services; on Android it uses Google Play's purchase (Google Play Billing) and Google Play Games services, each as described below.
(01)Policy
1. Who is responsible
Beydanur Dönmez, the developer and publisher of the app, is responsible for the app and for this policy. You can reach us at snugdoku.sandbox@outlook.com.
2. Data stored only on your device
To make the game work, the app stores the following on your device, in the app's own storage: your level progress and best times in each puzzle type, your daily puzzle results and streak, the days you earned the bonus for solving all three daily puzzles, the level packs you have unlocked, puzzles you have left part-way through, your diamond balance, the hints you got with diamonds and not used yet, which Connect path colour themes you have unlocked and which one you use, the piece you chose for Place, which puzzle type you last selected and which rule sheets you have seen, whether you have purchased Remove Ads, the store's transaction identifiers of the diamond packs you bought (so that no purchase is counted twice), how many free-diamond ads you have watched today, how many levels you have finished since the last ad, when the last full-screen ad was shown and when you first opened the app (both only to space out ads, see "Advertising"), leaderboard scores that are waiting to be sent, a random identifier of this installation (made on your device and never sent anywhere), and your settings (such as sound, vibration, appearance and language). Google's consent service also stores your advertising consent choices on your device. This data does not leave your device through the app, except for the leaderboard scores described in "Leaderboards" below and the consent signals sent with ad requests, and we cannot see it. Snugdoku does not use iCloud or any other cloud sync of its own. The data is deleted when you delete the app, except a compact copy of your progress (levels and best times, daily results, streak and bonus days, diamond balance, unused hints, unlocked themes and level packs, whether you bought Remove Ads and the transaction identifiers of the diamond packs already added, your settings, Place piece and the rule sheets you have seen, how many levels you have finished since the last ad and when you first opened the app, the installation identifier, and today's count of free-diamond ads) kept on the same device so that it comes back if you delete and reinstall the app. On iPhone and iPad it is in the device's Keychain, bound to this device and never synced to iCloud; on Android it is in Google Block Store on this device with its cloud backup switched off, and it survives a reinstall only while the device's backup service is on. It never leaves your device through the app. Your device's own backups can include it, under the control of the company that provides them: iCloud Backup or a computer backup on iPhone and iPad, and Android's automatic backup to your Google account on Android (the app allows this backup so that your progress can come back when you reinstall the app or move to a new phone with the same account).
3. Leaderboards
Game Center (Apple). On iPhone and iPad, leaderboards run on Apple Game Center. If you are signed in to Game Center, the app sends Apple your solve time for each daily puzzle you finish and the highest level you have solved, for each of the three puzzle types, so that the leaderboards work. Your Game Center name and scores can be visible to other players on the leaderboards, and the app shows you other players' names and scores from Game Center. Scores you make while signed out are kept on your device and sent after you next sign in. Game Center is operated by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy; you can manage or turn it off in your device's Settings. The app uses your Game Center identity only to show whether you are signed in and under which name; it does not store it or send it anywhere else.
Google Play Games (Android). On Android, leaderboards run on Google Play Games services. If you are signed in to Google Play Games on your device, the app sends Google your solve time for each daily puzzle you finish (as a number that also includes that day) and the highest level you have solved, for each of the three puzzle types. Your Play Games player name and scores may be visible to other players on the leaderboards. Google processes this data under the Google Privacy Policy. Leaderboards are optional: if you do not sign in, the game works the same; only the leaderboards are unavailable.
4. Advertising
What you see. The app shows two kinds of ads and no banners. An interstitial ad is a short full-screen ad that may appear when you tap "Next level" on the result screen of a level you have just finished: at most after every second level you finish, at least 90 seconds after the previous full-screen ad, and never during the first 3 minutes after you first open the app. Interstitial ads never appear when the app opens, while you are solving a puzzle, or in the daily puzzle. Rewarded ads appear only when you choose to watch one, and the button tells you what you get: one extra hint in a puzzle (level or daily) once its free hint and your hint stock are used up, free diamonds (15 per ad, up to 5 ads a day), or double the diamonds you have just earned on the result screen of a level's first solve (not in the daily puzzle). The reward is given only after the ad has played to the end. If you buy Remove Ads, interstitial ads stop; rewarded ads stay available because you choose to watch them. The app asks Google for ads suitable for general audiences only (Google's "G" content rating).
Who serves the ads. Ads are requested through Google's Mobile Ads SDK (Google AdMob). Through AdMob mediation, the following advertising partners can also bid to show an ad, using their own SDKs, which are part of the app:
- Unity Ads (Unity Technologies): privacy policy
- Liftoff Monetize (Liftoff Mobile, Inc.): privacy policy
What they process. To request, show, measure and protect ads, Google and these partners may process: an approximate, coarse location estimated from your IP address; device information such as model, operating system version, language and network type; non-user performance data such as app launch time, crash reports and hang rate, used for diagnostics and possibly to help decide which ads to show; a device identifier (your device's advertising identifier where allowed, or another app- or developer-bound identifier) used for advertising, fraud prevention and analytics; and information about which ads you have seen or tapped and how you use the app, such as app launches. This list describes what the advertising SDKs can collect, not our choice; each company processes this data under its own privacy policy: see "How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services", the Google Privacy Policy and the partners' policies above.
EEA, UK and Switzerland. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the app shows Google's consent message (the "UMP" form) before it requests any ad, so you can choose whether to allow personalised advertising and the other purposes listed in it, or not to consent. Your choice is passed to Google and to the partners above through the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework signal. If you do not consent, ads can still be shown, but they are not personalised: only non-personalised or limited ads are requested. If the consent message does not allow ads to be requested at all, the app does not start the advertising SDKs and shows no ads. In these regions the app's Settings also shows an "Ad privacy choices" row that opens the message again, so you can change your choice at any time.
US states. If you are in a US state with a consumer privacy law (for example California, Virginia, Colorado or Connecticut), the app's Settings shows the "Ad privacy choices" row, which opens Google's US state privacy message where you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising. Before requesting ads, the app passes your choice to Google and to each partner above.
Everywhere else. Outside the regions above, the app does not show a consent message. On iPhone and iPad, ads are personalised only if you allow tracking in the App Tracking Transparency prompt (see the next section). On Android, Google and the partners may show personalised ads using your device's advertising ID unless you reset or delete your advertising ID, or turn off ad personalisation, in your device settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads, or Settings > Google > Ads).
5. App Tracking Transparency and non-personalised ads
On iOS, after Google's consent message (where it applies), and before the app first requests an ad, the app asks for your permission under Apple's App Tracking Transparency (ATT) framework. Ads are personalised only if you allow both: personalised advertising in Google's consent message (where it is shown) and tracking in the ATT prompt. If you decline either, if you have turned tracking off for the app in your device's Settings, or if consent has not been given, neither Google nor the partners can use your device's advertising identifier for tracking, and only non-personalised ads are requested: ads chosen without a profile built from your activity in other apps or websites. Non-personalised ads still use the advertising SDK data described above (for example, coarse location and a non-tracking device identifier), because the SDKs need that data to request, serve, measure and protect any ad, personalised or not. You can change your ATT choice at any time in your device's Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
Android has no App Tracking Transparency; see "Everywhere else" above for the choices you have on Android.
6. In-app purchases
The app offers in-app purchases: a one-time Remove Ads purchase, and diamond packs (consumable purchases that add diamonds to your balance). On iPhone and iPad it is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; on Android it is handled entirely by Google through Google Play Billing. We do not run our own store and we never receive your payment details, card number or billing address; Apple and Google process those under their own privacy policies (Apple's Privacy Policy, Google Privacy Policy). The app only receives confirmation of which product you bought, the store's identifier of that transaction and that the purchase is valid, and stores on your device that Remove Ads is active or adds the diamonds to your balance. "Restore purchases" in the app's Settings asks the App Store or Google Play for the purchases of your account; it restores Remove Ads only, because diamond packs are used up when bought. See our Terms of Use for what each purchase gives you.
7. Permissions
The app does not ask for access to your camera, microphone, photos, location or contacts, and it does not send notifications. On iOS it asks for permission to use your device's advertising identifier under Apple's App Tracking Transparency, only to support the advertising described above; you can decline this at any time (see "App Tracking Transparency and non-personalised ads").
On Android, the app declares internet access, vibration (haptic feedback), Google Play Billing and the advertising ID permission (AD_ID) used by the advertising SDKs. The advertising SDKs and Android libraries also add technical permissions that show you no prompt, such as network state and Android's ad services. There is no camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or storage permission.
8. Network
All puzzles, including every daily puzzle, are built into the app or created by the app on your device, and all sounds and images are included in the app, so the game itself plays offline; without a connection it simply shows no ads. The app sends no gameplay data to us. It connects to the internet only for: Google's advertising and consent services and the advertising partners' ad servers, to request and show ads and to gather advertising consent; Apple Game Center or Google Play Games, for the leaderboards described above; and the App Store or Google Play, for the purchases. The Privacy Policy, Terms of Use and Support links in the app's Settings open these pages on the web. Your browser loads them from GitHub Pages, a service of GitHub, Inc., which processes technical request data such as your IP address to deliver the page. This website uses no cookies and no analytics.
9. Children
Snugdoku is a general-audience puzzle game. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app asks Google for ads rated for general audiences only, and a user who has not given tracking consent, of any age, is only ever shown non-personalised ads, as described above. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate action.
10. Your rights
We hold no personal data of our own, so there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete directly. You can delete the data stored on your device by deleting the app (and, if you want, any device backup that contains it). For your Apple Account, Game Center or purchase data, contact Apple. For the advertising data Google's SDK has processed about you, use Google's own controls at myadcenter.google.com; for data processed by an advertising partner, use the contact options in its privacy policy linked above; and you can always use the choices described in "Advertising" and "App Tracking Transparency and non-personalised ads". On Android you can manage your Play Games data in the Google Play Games app or your Google account. You can still write to us with any privacy question.
11. Additional information for users in Türkiye under the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK)
Under Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu, "KVKK"), the data controller (veri sorumlusu) responsible for the personal data described in this policy is Beydanur Dönmez, the app's developer and publisher. For any KVKK-related request, write to snugdoku.sandbox@outlook.com.
Under KVKK article 5, each purpose above rests on one legal basis. Storing your progress, diamonds, themes and settings on your device, handling the in-app purchase through Apple or Google Play, and sending your scores to Game Center or Google Play Games when you are signed in, are all necessary for the establishment or performance of the contract under which you use the app and the features you choose (article 5/2(c)); no separate consent is needed for these. Showing personalised advertising and using your device's advertising identifier for tracking rest on your explicit consent (article 5/1), given or withdrawn through the ATT and UMP consent screens described above. The data the advertising SDKs need to request, serve, measure and protect any ad even when you have not consented to tracking (for example coarse location, a non-tracking device identifier, and diagnostic, performance and crash data) rests on our legitimate interest, and that of Google and the advertising partners, in operating and securing the free, ad-supported version of the app, without prejudice to your fundamental rights and freedoms (article 5/2(f)).
Yurt dışına aktarım / transfer abroad: Google (Mobile Ads SDK and UMP; on Android also Google Play Billing and Google Play Games), the advertising partners listed above (Unity Technologies, Liftoff Mobile, Inc.) and Apple (App Store and Game Center) may process the data described above on servers located outside Türkiye, including in the United States. This transfer takes place under KVKK article 9, as amended by Law No. 7499 with effect from 1 June 2024: for personalised advertising and tracking, the transfer rests on your explicit consent; for the purchase and the leaderboards, it rests on the transfer being directly related to the establishment or performance of the very service you asked for, one of the exceptional grounds listed in article 9(6). Providing the appropriate safeguards KVKK requires for these transfers (such as standard contractual clauses) is the responsibility of these companies, which receive the data directly from their SDKs; we do not operate a server of our own that receives this data.
Under KVKK article 11, you have the right to: (a) learn whether your personal data is being processed; (b) request information about it if it has been processed; (c) learn the purpose of the processing and whether it is used in accordance with that purpose; (ç) know the third parties, in Türkiye or abroad, to whom your data is transferred; (d) request correction if it has been processed incompletely or incorrectly; (e) request its deletion or destruction, within the conditions set out in the law; (f) request that any correction, deletion or destruction be notified to the third parties to whom your data was transferred; (g) object to a result against you that arises solely from the automated analysis of your data; and (ğ) claim compensation for damage you suffer because of unlawful processing.
To exercise these rights, write to us at snugdoku.sandbox@outlook.com; under KVKK article 13 we handle your request free of charge, as quickly as possible and within 30 days at the latest (a fee may apply only for a request that itself requires an additional cost, at the tariff the Personal Data Protection Board sets). If we reject your request, you find our answer insufficient, or we do not answer in time, KVKK article 14 lets you complain to the Personal Data Protection Board (Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurulu, kvkk.gov.tr) within 30 days of learning our answer and, in any case, within 60 days of your original request.
12. Changes
If the app starts handling data differently, for example by adding an advertising partner, we will update this policy before that version is released and change the date above.
