LINGRID
Terms of Use
These terms apply to the LINGRID app, developed and published by Beydanur Dönmez ("we", "us"). They supplement Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement; if they conflict, Apple's agreement prevails. If you downloaded the app from Google Play, these terms supplement the Google Play Terms of Service; Google Play's rules apply to the app's distribution through Google Play and to purchases.
1. Use of the app
You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. Do not copy, resell or redistribute the app or its puzzles.
2. Free puzzles and diamonds
You can open up to 3 new level puzzles for free each day; the daily puzzle is free. Beyond that, you can open more puzzles with diamonds or, within the daily limit shown in the app, by watching an optional rewarded ad. Diamonds are an in-game item you earn by playing, or that you can buy as consumable diamond packages (see "Diamond purchases" below). You can use diamonds to open more puzzles or to unlock colour themes: the default, pink and blackberry themes are free, and two more themes can be unlocked with diamonds. Diamonds have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to another account. We may change the game rules, prices in diamonds and rewards in future versions.
3. Diamond purchases
Diamond packages are consumable in-app purchases: virtual items with no cash value, usable only inside the app. Once a diamond package is delivered, it is spent as you use it and is non-refundable, except where required by law or through Apple's or Google Play's own refund process — refund requests are made to Apple or Google Play, not to us, since they handle all payment. Purchased diamonds join the same balance and transaction history as diamonds earned by playing, and are used for the same things (extra puzzles, themes, streak repair).
4. Remove Ads and Restore Purchases
Remove Ads is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that permanently removes the interstitial ads described in "Advertising" below; the optional rewarded ads (for diamonds on the home screen and in the diamond shop, and for opening a locked level puzzle) stay available afterward, since you choose to watch them. Because Remove Ads is non-consumable, Apple lets you restore it at any time with the app's "Restore Purchases" option, including after reinstalling the app or on a new device signed in with the same Apple ID — no new payment is taken. Diamond packages are consumable, and Apple does not support restoring a consumable purchase through "Restore Purchases"; if iCloud sync is on (see our Privacy Policy), your diamond balance and transaction history are kept and carried over to a reinstall on the same iCloud account. If iCloud sync is off, diamonds and other local data are lost when you delete the app, the same as before purchases existed.
5. Streaks and repair
A missed daily puzzle can be repaired with diamonds — 30 diamonds per missed day, within the repair window shown in the app — using diamonds from either source above. A repaired day is not scored and does not count toward the daily leaderboard.
6. Fair play
Leaderboards are provided through Apple Game Center on iPhone and iPad and through Google Play Games on Android. Do not manipulate the game (for example by changing your device clock) to gain an advantage. The respective service's own terms apply to leaderboards and achievements.
7. Advertising
The app shows ads served by Google's Mobile Ads SDK, as described in our Privacy Policy, unless you have purchased Remove Ads. We do not control the content of individual ads or the third-party sites or apps an ad may lead to, and are not responsible for them.
8. Content
The puzzles, clues and design of LINGRID are protected by copyright. Word levels are based on the CEFR-J Wordlist Version 1.5, compiled by Yukio Tono, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies. LINGRID is a learning game: we work to keep translations accurate but cannot guarantee that every clue fits every context.
9. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer protection rules that apply to you, including those of the country where you live, and your right to apply to the competent consumer arbitration committees or consumer courts is preserved.
